Editorial policy

How we score casinos, how often we update pages, how we handle conflicts of interest, and how to get a mistake corrected.

Why we have this policy

So you can judge our pages for yourself: what we check, where our facts come from, and what we do when we get something wrong.

How scores are given

Every casino gets a score out of 10 from six parts, each worked out from the casino’s own data with the same rules and weights. No part is a matter of taste, and no casino can buy a better score.

The parts, their weights and every rule: how we rate casinos.

How often pages are updated

Casino details come from our database and change when the casino’s terms do; each page shows when its details last changed. Lists and offers update with the data. We reread written reviews when a casino changes its licence, limits or payout times.

Conflicts of interest

We earn commission from some casinos. To keep that from colouring what we write:

  • Scores come from data and published rules, not from deals
  • The order of every list follows the scores
  • Writers don’t know which casinos pay what
  • We say so where a link can earn us money

Where our facts come from

The casino’s own terms, cashier and help pages, the regulator’s register for its licence, the game studio’s published figures for a game, and our own checks. Where a fact rests on the casino’s word alone, we say “lists” or “states”.

Corrections

Found a mistake? Write to [email protected] with the page and what is wrong. We check every message and correct the page when we confirm it; a change in a score shows on the page with the new date.

What you can expect from us

Plain words, the numbers that matter (withdrawal limits, wagering, payout times), and the bad along with the good. What we can’t promise: that a casino keeps to its terms. Always read them yourself before you deposit.
